Acoustic steel door fancies a door shutter with a thickness of 65mm to 100mm, which also depends on the severity of STC testing. This product is lab tested for airborne sound which is done as per IS-9901 part III. With 44 STC rating, the thickness comes around 100mm and for 35 STC rating, the thickness preferred is 65mm. The door frames are made of MS pipe or ISMC with shutter made out of acoustic insulation elements. Rubber gasket (Neoprene/EPDM) is filled in between the gap that sits the door and frame.
